"Capitalism stifles human ingenuity"
Capitalism is the very best system in the world at leveraging human ingenuity into useful advancements for civilization.
However, it has one real weakness.
Capitalism abhors abundance. Note the incentives in capitalism for powerful interests to create artificial scarcity as a means to profit. We see it all the time.
Capitalism is ending as a result of the abundance resulting from AI + robotics. What replaces it - who knows, but I can say this - it isn't going to be communism, which -ironically - also relies on scarcity as its entire raison d'être.
You see what I'm getting at?
The political and economic systems of the past are no longer sufficient to guide us into the future. Abundance renders every prior understanding of the world obsolete.
The main drivers of conflict moving forward will be social and religious.
A big part of why Communism appeals to me is the idea of unlocking the true creative potential of humanity and removing the obstacles preventing excellence. Capitalism stifles human ingenuity, who knows what brilliant things we can do once we are free.
