Inflation is here into the 2030s. It's not (mainly) the result of this or that policy or party in power. It's the unintended price of what voters asked for: deglobalization.

The Islamists in Nigeria have a bounty on the head of this Protestant Pastor yet he continues to preach Christ Crucified fearlessly. May God protect the Christians of Nigeria!
EZEQUIEL DACHOMO! 🙏

This is a major overhaul of the International Theological Commission. I was expecting that he would keep more than just 6 of Francis’ picks for nothing more than continuity.
Pope Leo has appointed 24 members of the International Theological Commission and renews the mandates of 6 others who served during its previous five-year term. vaticannews.va/en/pope/news/…

Cardinal Parolin must be drafting his statement on the death penalty—oh no, in this case he has nothing to say or comment. Nor he will be asked about it by members of the yellow press.

Unbelievable. If this is all accurate, I can’t wait to see how the @Eagles hold their medical staff accountable.. and how the @NFL holds the Eagles accountable. And it better be swift.
How committed is Jalen Hurts to football? After initially being diagnosed with a superficial blood clot in London, doctors told him not to sleep as a precaution, so he had been awake for roughly 36 hours when he started against the Jaguars, throwing for 220 yards and a TD.

Just because I can understand why my toddler gets mad, it doesn’t mean she’s right and it doesn’t mean I allow her to destroy the house. We are either a civilized society or we are not.
From the high schools of France to the streets of Madrid to the universities of Tirana, young people are telling their governments the same thing: in an age of massive wealth inequality, they want a future they can believe in. In France, students and teachers are asking for safe schools, enough teachers and smaller classes. In Spain, for affordable rent and housing. In Albania, for good jobs and an end to corruption. @JDVance says this is what happens when a nation lets in too many immigrants from the global south. He is not just morally wrong, but misreading the moment. The is what happens when nations let wealth and power accumulate in the hands of a few. This is what happens when young people lose hope in their future. In America, let us listen to our young. We need an economic and political transformation. America's Next New Deal.

It's not appreciated enough in American domestic discourse: just how crushing the US blockade against the Iranian economy has been. Yes, the war was ill-advised (to put it mildly). But opponents shouldn't kid themselves about ye old "correlation of forces."

Even atheists are praying for you. You are a good man. Please get well.
I would like to thank all those who have prayed for me in recent days. I wish to express my particular gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all the staff of the Gemelli Hospital. This experience has made me feel particularly close to all those who are living with illness or infirmity. Now that I have overcome this delicate phase I will gradually resume my activities, always with God’s help and your prayers.

When I first met David, a world-class molecular biologist whose name was being floated for the Nobel Prize, he was collecting unemployment. As of last week, he's been cleared by of wrongdoing and awarded $6,000,000 in damages. Read my story about him: thefp.com/p/he-was-a-world-r…
The reputational destruction of Prof. David Sabatini was one of the worst excesses of the Great Awokening / Me-Too era. @BillAckman acted bravely in offering him support when the entire academic establishment cancelled him. Without his efforts, the complete absence of due process in his treatment by @MIT might never have come to light. The question I am left with: Will those whose misconduct has finally been exposed pay anything like the price they imposed on Sabatini? Will they be fired? Will their reputations be destroyed? They deserve it. He did not.

The current wave of populism — which first rose in the mid-2010s and crested in 2024 — might well recede by 2026 or 2028. But the complex of crises around immigration, assimilation, cohesion, and demographics will remain the central concern of the broad Right on both sides of the Atlantic for the foreseeable future. The images coming out of Paris will only reinforce this deep trend. I don't care whether you normatively agree or disagree with their conclusion. I'm just telling you this is how things will be.

We will all soon know what it feels like to be Jewish. In France, they already do. It will be our just deserts for having abandoned the Jews, ignored their warnings, turned against them, and even marched alongside their oppressors. For three years, you useful idiots have been parading Palestinian flags, sporting keffiyehs, screaming “From the River to the Sea”, and recognizing a fictitious Palestinian state as a reward for Hamas’s October 7 massacre (looking at you, @EmmanuelMacron). You have boycotted the only Jewish state in the world, vilified the Jewish people’s right to self-determination (aka “Zionism”), and spread the “Gaza genocide” blood libel. Did you really think that if you fed the crocodile enough Jewish flesh, it would eventually be satiated? All you have done is embolden the monster and whet its appetite. So you were worried about “colonization”? Look around. The only thing being colonized here are our own Western cities. The Palestinian flag has become a victory banner, proudly waved amid the ruins of looted and vandalized historic buildings—a symbol of hatred for our civilization and everything it stands for. It never ends with the Jews.

I keep going back to this interview as we watch France burn… The Far Left interviewer frame Elon and us as “Far Right” for being against exactly what is happening today. Elon’s every word was proven correct. Her view was proven wrong. The Media is the Enemy of the People.
