Managing reply presence for founders, builders & projects.

The art of reply guying : A good reply starts before you type anything. Here’s what I do before replying to a post: 1. Read it properly. Don’t just skim the post looking for something to say. Try breaking it down in your own words. Because if you don’t understand the post, you can’t add anything meaningful to the conversation. 2. Know why you’re replying. Am I replying because I genuinely have something to add? Do I want to share a different perspective? Support someone I know? Or position myself in front of the kind of people I want to work with? Your reason for replying affects the kind of reply you should write. 3. Then, actually write the reply. Not something generic just so your name appears under the post. Say something that shows you understood what was said. Add a thought. Ask a useful question. Share an experience. Disagree thoughtfully. Just make sure your reply gives the reader a reason to stop and read it. And yes, I’ll usually like the post too. Because if someone took the time to share something valuable, supporting the post costs me nothing. The goal isn't to reply more. It's to make the replies you leave worth reading.

I’m 17 I’m a reply guy. I help brands and founders stay active on the TL while they focus on building an outstanding product. Recently got admission to study Computer Science at UNIZIK I’m still figuring out a lot of things and trying to enjoy the process along the way
I’m 19 a storyteller, content creator, gamer (wish I was a baddie too) based in Nigeria always down to connect with more creators, and builders in this space 💜

Most people make replies because they want to hit their daily reply quota. But that's not how replies should be made. Let's talk about the engineering behind replies. Reply → Impression → Profile visit → Follow When you drop a thoughtful reply, you're not just trying to get likes. You're putting your name in front of people who may have never come across you before. That's the first step: impressions. Some of those people will read your reply and think, “Who is this?” Then they click your profile. Now your PFP, banner and bio have a job to do. They should make it immediately clear who you are, what you do and what people can expect from you. Then they check your content. And this is where a lot of people mess up. You can write the best reply in the world, but if they land on your profile and your content gives them nothing, the attention goes nowhere. Your reply got them there. Your profile and content have to give them a reason to stay. That's the engineering behind a good reply. You're not just chasing a reply quota. You're creating a path from attention → curiosity → profile visit → follow.

Being remembered >> being seen. Some people focus so much on visibility that they forget there should be something worth remembering. Because what's the point of being everywhere if people still don't know what to associate with you? When you're remembered, your name or PFP triggers a thought: “Oh, that's the person who talks about ___.” “That's the person who's really good at ___.” “That's who I go to when I need ___.” That's what you should be building. So yes, work on your visibility. Get seen. Put yourself out there. But don't make visibility the end goal. Be seen enough to be remembered. And be valuable enough to be worth remembering.

No one wants to talk about this, but being a reply guy isn't as easy as it sounds. Especially when you actually care about making replies that add value. Sometimes, I’ll read a post over and over again, write a reply, delete it, rewrite it, and delete it again. Why? Because I don’t want my reply to be generic, unrelated, or just another comment taking up space. I want it to connect with the writer, make sense to the reader, and add something meaningful to the conversation. That’s why I focus on quality over quantity. Because a good reply isn’t just typed. It’s orchestrated.

A lot of people can't stand on their own decisions. I used to be one of them. I'd agree with whatever someone said, even when it went against what I actually believed, just to keep the peace. But I realized something: if you can't stand on your own point, you're not really in the conversation. You're just... there. Everyone deserves the right to their own opinion. Not because it's always right, but because it's actually yours.

Yesterday's space was really good. Filled with big names across different niches, talking about how they navigated and were able to build their brand. Talked personal branding, strategy, a lot more. Got new perspectives just from listening. Won't recap it, listen to it yourself

A lot of founders build genuinely good products that nobody sees And a good product nobody sees might as well not exist Most founders barely engage their audience, they only focus on building No replies, no interaction, eventually the audience gets tired of talking to a wall

Yesterday I had a mental crash out. Tired of not getting gigs. Tired of losing opportunities. Tired of rejection. Then I remembered a post I saw about complaining to the right people, not just anyone. So I did. No solution yet. But I believe it's coming.

People think reply guys are dead. Or trash. Actually it's the opposite; CT is flooded with AI replies now. Generic, unrelated, adding nothing to the conversation. Which means real, thoughtful replies stand out more than ever. Good time to actually be good at this.

Most people don't have a complaining problem. They complain to the wrong people. This story's proof; she complained to someone with a solution, not just someone who'd relate, and got a gig from it. Sometimes the fix isn't venting more. It's venting to the right person.
There's a young girl on X who always complains about no jobs. In August, I decided to outsource something to her. She was happy. She studied the job role. Confirmed she could handle it and started working. Today, the client I outsourced to reach out. He's retaining her, he also mentioned her work rate is fast. Sometimes all it takes is complaining. 😂 That was her own content strategy. 🤣

I had 300 profile visits with under 130 followers. How? Organic replies. I reply early, and I make sure the reply relates to people or speaks directly to the point of the post. Very simple. If you are building without reply guying you are missing out.
