One thing about the new Luna & Sol models is that if you already commit to a Pro plan, The 1.5x speed button becomes a lot more tempting at these lower prices.
You may have already even used it before, 2x and beyond would be delectable.

Considering opus 5.5 is more expensive than 6 Sol, I’m wondering if Open AI is kicking themselves about not keeping the price the same for Sol and just shipping something stronger+expensive.
They could have ran the numbers and realized in real world use efficiency mattered more.

Instead of chasing viral news headline, Xiaomi literally made a dedicated hack agent to probe the environments as hard as possible before letting LLMs to train in the environments.

If Chinese labs can do it, why can't the other frontier labs do it? Makes you wonder if they are just being reckless or its simply some viral marketing stunt
This is open model SoTA btw, finding exploits is def possible, it's just if you want to "let" it escape or not

I had early access to GPT-6 Sol. This model is incredibly efficient, and the speed and token usage are insane
Tasks that took ~1 hour on 5.6 can now take ~20 minutes, often using less than half the tokens
I gave it the Zelda Ocarina of Time trailer and told it to make a fully playable version
