Just quietly wondering how many of my AFLW scripts would have broken - some maybe silently - if STK hadn't kicked that behind in the last 90 seconds of the game
Tough break for Alex Pearce suffering a partially torn Achilles tendon, but it could always be worse. Take Naama Levy, for instance, who had hers completely torn by H@mas, the terror group that is idolised by Pearce’s favourite band Kneecap.
That was done to Naama so she couldn’t run away from being raped, tortured, sexually assaulted and kidnapped by H@mas. Then imagine dealing with a traumatic Achilles injury while being repeatedly raped, tortured and sexually assaulted while being held hostage for nearly 16 months in the dungeons of Gaza.
She certainly wasn’t afforded the benefit of a cutting-edge rehab program for her Achilles injury that Pearce will enjoy. I’m sure that will help put things in perspective for Pearce and should assist him in adopting a glass-half-full approach to his recovery.

Waymos are really safe (80-95% safer than humans depending on the metric), but they also seem to be getting *safer* over time. This is the worst they'll ever be.
A quick analysis of the police-reported crash rates in three cities from Waymo's published safety data.
