The allegations in the Cornell sexual assault case are deeply disturbing and gut-wrenching. Cornell University has failed this survivor.
I fully support Governor Hochul's decision to name Attorney General James as special prosecutor in this case and look forward to the complete and extensive investigation that is to come.
Accountability and justice cannot simply be values, they must also be delivered.
I appreciate this take by Sage Steele, who shows a willingness to change her take as the facts change. Sage and anyone else with any objectivity pointed out that AJAs act and her inability to take ownership was weak. But maybe AJA has learned (1/2)
2/2) ultimately when I think of myself in my 20s, this stuff would even rank in the top 20 of idiotic moments, and I didn’t have fame and wealth and yes people messing up my mind. Young people deserve grace
It’s almost like the WNBA is marketing itself as a horribly run league for engagement purposes. There is no other logical explanation for the dysfunction
The reality is that Enes Kanter didn’t enter the court either when the other deranged player charged at him. But because everyone wanted to dunk on Kanter, no one was honest about what occurred. Now the precedent is that players can charge people in the stands
What full context am I missing?
A’ja Wilson/Becky Hammon didn’t provide any about this incident. Wilson certainly spoke her mind, but all she said was that the man pointed at her and walked toward her.
He still never went near the court. She left the court to get in his face.
If this lady survives this after the State tried to kill her and then saved her after trying to kill her....they can't possibly try to kill her again. that would be insanity
Unbelieveable. Officials were unable to carry out the execution of Christa Gail Pike, witnesses said, after the lethal injection was administered. Pike appeared to receive 2 doses of pentobarbital, and she was still awake 40 minutes after. Pike is now en route to the hosptial.
“Black kids don’t benefit from the inclusion of white kids.” I completely disagree.
My Black students can learn from white students. My white students can learn from Black students. Neither group is here to “fix” the other.
They’re here to learn, grow, build relationships, and become better young men together.
These boys are going to inherit a world filled with people who don’t look like them. I’d rather teach them how to understand, respect, and work alongside each other now.
I’m not preparing them for a Black world or a white world. I’m preparing them for the world they actually have to live in.
Please take note of the humility my friend Brian Steel shows after this monumental victory. I’m predicting that there won’t be a bunch of IG posts. Just keep grinding
Simon wrote in a scene where the cops pointed to the picture of the suspect for the witness to pick out of a photo-lineup. People have lost their minds. The wire absolutely showed the ugly side of law enforcement
One of the recurring themes in the show is that, if the cops were funded and freed of bureaucratic politics, they’d be able to do really good police work. The police and their profession are portrayed as noble victims of neoliberalism, rather than its enforcers.
I’m definitely not a fan of hers, but let’s all be honest…who wasn’t acting goofy in their 20s? I’m much more concerned about old people who never figure it out
The reflexive need to put CC just shows where some people’s heads are at and how biased they are. Anyone who is honest could freely admit that Clark and Mitchell are both awesome players
Last year, Kelsey Mitchell led this Fever team to the playoffs without Clark, after Clark got hurt. Now Mitchell is also doing things no other WNBA player has done. We have not seen Clark lead a team to the playoffs without one of its top players.
I need the backstory on the dude in the Byrna ad that says he reached for the Byrna because "I've seen enough death and destruction to last two lifetimes"
Take the Twitter “expert” reporting on the Karmelo Anthony hearing today…How many reported only the excluded evidence that was bad for Karmelo? How many only reported what was bad for Austin? Very few gave both sides of the coin. It’s dishonest, pathetic, and a grift
If you are looking for objective, informed legal analysis, do NOT turn to”the experts” (with a few exceptions) on social media. Non-lawyers would be better just trusting their own common sense

Not really a fan of Stephen A, But a press/ journalism organization attacking one of their members for having differing views of some matters is completely antithetical to a “free press”.
Jogging on a public, city, synthetic track in ATL with about 50 other runners/ walkers. And there is one person riding their bike, weaving in between all of us, on the track. Are people like this so dumb that they don’t know common rules, or are the just psychos that don’t care?
