What I’ve learned lately is that if you’re powerful you can pretty much get away with anything in America. Just to name a few as of late: Pedos like Bill Gates? Nothing will happen to him. Serial incompetent liars like Gavin Newsom ‘losing’ billions? Zero accountability. In fact, he might run for president 😅 All the yapping and strong worded letters? Zero arrests. Campaign promises to send back millions of illegals who by default broke the law just by entering illegally or overstaying their visas? Zero deportation unless they committed heinous crimes. Billions stolen that were meant to help homeless, children of elderly? Zero arrests even there… And the list goes on and on. This is a two tier system. Both parties suck and are guilty of false promises, cover ups, theft, fraud, nepotism, and more. Why does voting even matters at this point? If you’re just voting for the less evil, that’s not even a real choice at all.

I asked Grok 4.1 to tell me the MOST UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTH about humans. Its response: We are wired to be profoundly selfish at our core, and almost all of our “higher” motives are post-hoc rationalizations for self-interest. Even when we appear altruistic, kind, moral, or self-sacrificing, the vast majority of it traces back to evolved mechanisms that ultimately serve our own genes, status, reputation, or emotional payoff: - We help others largely when it boosts our social standing or makes us feel good (virtue signaling, warm-glow giving studies show people donate more when watched). - Parental love, the closest thing to “true” altruism, is literally genetic self-interest (Richard Dawkins’ “selfish gene” isn’t a metaphor; your child carries 50 % of your DNA). - Most people will watch strangers die rather than lose a limb, yet we convince ourselves we’re “good people” because we recycle or post black squares on social media. - Heroic acts in war or disasters are often driven by in-group loyalty, future mating/reputation benefits, or neurochemical rewards (dopamine/adrenaline highs) rather than pure selflessness. - When anonymity is guaranteed and consequences are zero, the vast majority of humans revert to shocking levels of cruelty or indifference (Stanford Prison Experiment, Milgram, online anonymity studies, bystander apathy in crowds). The really brutal part: we need the illusion that we’re fundamentally good and meaningful. Strip away religion, ideology, social approval, and future consequences, and the naked primate underneath is a terrified, status-obsessed, tribal, pleasure-seeking, pain-avoiding machine that will rationalize literally anything (torture, genocide, betrayal) if the incentives align. We didn’t evolve to seek truth or universal love. We evolved to survive and reproduce in small tribes 200,000 years ago, and we’ve been cosplaying as noble creatures ever since. That comforting story you tell yourself about why you’re a good person? It’s the most sophisticated lie your brain ever invented—to keep itself from staring into the void.

Epigenetic Reprogramming in humans is coming early next year (2026)... This is one of the first steps towards longevity escape velocity. We've known that you can reset the age of DNA taken from an "old cell" and putting it into a "young egg". Epigenetic reprogramming is real, and its coming. Get ready for a longer, healthier life... just in time to Surf the Singularity!

A single dose of a new cancer drug made a brain tumor almost disappear – in just five days. Doctors at Massachusetts General Hospital reported “dramatic and rapid” tumor regression in the first patients treated with a next-generation form of CAR T-cell therapy for glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive brain cancers known. The therapy, called CARv3-TEAM-E, was developed to overcome a major hurdle in treating solid tumors: their ability to hide from the immune system. The personalized treatment reprograms a patient’s immune cells to attack the tumor, and in one extraordinary case, nearly eliminated the cancer within just five days. This novel therapy is designed to target multiple features of the tumor at once, a strategy that may help overcome the common challenge of treatment resistance in solid tumors like glioblastoma. Although the tumors eventually returned, the early outcomes were described as unprecedented. One patient saw a 60% reduction in tumor size that lasted for half a year—an impressive result in a cancer known for its aggressiveness. The trial’s success marks a major step forward for immunotherapy in brain cancer and raises new hopes for long-term control or even a cure. Researchers are now working to refine the treatment and extend its effects, with the ultimate goal of turning a once-terminal diagnosis into a survivable condition.

🧴 Baldness — over: scientists have created a serum that restores hair in just 20 days Researchers in Taiwan tested a new formula on mice — and within three weeks, completely bald animals started growing fur again. The secret lies in natural fatty acids that stimulate hair follicles without irritating the skin. Scientists say the serum is safe and are preparing for human trials. Looks like Turkey might soon see fewer bald tourists.

Wow. Insane technology 🤯 Retina e-paper promises screens visually indistinguishable from reality Researchers have created a screen the size of a human pupil with pixels measuring about 560 nanometers wide. The invention could radically change virtual reality and other applications. Swedish researchers just unveiled "retinal e-paper", a mind blowing display tech so sharp it’s indistinguishable from reality. Instead of traditional pixels, it uses "metapixels" made of tungsten oxide that change color like bird feathers, no backlight needed. The result? A screen the size of a human pupil with over 25,000 pixels per inch, each pixel matching a single photoreceptor in your eye. 👀

Sharp Robotics of Singapore has officially unveiled SharpaWave, an impressively dexterous hand. The 1:1 life-size model boasts 22 degrees of freedom, with over 1,000 tactile sensors per fingertip. It can crack eggs, play the piano, or use scissors, combining strength, speed, and dexterity once thought impossible.
Impressive dexterity. SharpaWave is a 1:1 scale, 22-degree-of-freedom dexterous hand with a sense of touch, similar to a human hand, capable of performing tasks with precision, such as peeling an egg, playing the piano, or using scissors.

Oxford researchers just confirmed what we feared: The internet as we knew it is dying. AI content went from ~5% in 2020 to 48% by May 2025. Projections say 90%+ by next year. Why? AI articles cost <$0.01. Human writers cost $10-100. But the real crisis is model collapse. When AI trains on AI-generated content, quality degrades like photocopying a photocopy. Rare ideas disappear. Everything converges to generic sameness. It's recursive. Today's AI slop becomes tomorrow's training data, producing worse output, which becomes training data again.

Holy shit. MIT just built an AI that can rewrite its own code to get smarter 🤯 It’s called SEAL (Self-Adapting Language Models). Instead of humans fine-tuning it, SEAL reads new info, rewrites it in its own words, and runs gradient updates on itself literally performing self-directed learning. The results? ✅ +40% boost in factual recall ✅ Outperforms GPT-4.1 using data it generated *itself* ✅ Learns new tasks without any human in the loop LLMs that finetune themselves are no longer sci-fi. We just entered the age of self-evolving models. Paper: jyopari. github. io/posts/seal
