Beyond looting Rs 114 crore from unemployed youth in just two years through JKSSB and JKPSC exam fees, the flawed RESERVATION policy that excludes Kashmiri-speaking people and the arbitrary VERIFICATION process that rejects them are being weaponised to push Kashmiri-speaking youth out of the system, raised these pressing concerns in the Assembly today, seeking rectification on these issues.

If you’ve ever wondered what happened to the JKPSI recruitment controversy, this article deserves your attention. If you’ve ever asked why around 1,050 Sub-Inspectors were selected from the Jammu division while only around 150 were selected from the Kashmir division, please read this report and understand why so many aspirants are still demanding answers. We are the forgotten victims of the J&K recruitment controversy. Serious questions have been raised about why tender conditions were allegedly altered and eligibility clauses relaxed before a controversial company Aptech was entrusted with conducting our recruitment examinations. Every unanswered question has cost thousands of young aspirants their peace, careers, and years of hard work. The outcome still haunts us around 1,050 Sub-Inspectors were selected from the Jammu division, while only around 150 were selected from the Kashmir division. What kind of justice is this? How can thousands of deserving aspirants simply be expected to move on without a transparent explanation? I fold my hands before our politicians, lawyers, journalists, and civil society please stand with us. We are not asking for sympathy, we are asking for truth, accountability and justice. An entire generation deserves answers. Thank you @IndianExpress @RTIExpress for bringing this issue back into the national conversation. Please don’t let our voices fade away. indianexpress.com/article/in… #JusticeForJKAspirants #JKSSB #JKPSI #Transparency #IndianExpress @CM_JnK @RuhullahMehdi @parawahid @OmarAbdullah @salmanalisagar @Junaid_Mattu @ZuhaibYousf @IltijaMufti_ @ImranNDar @JKACB @GreaterKashmir @RisingKashmir @KashmirLife @NaveedIqbal @nayeema1 @sakinaitoo @HMOIndia @sheikhashiq4u @sheikhahmad11 @SheikhRaashid @JKNC_ @jkpdp @JmuKmrPolice @OMSA_JK

TO THE OPEN MERIT STUDENTS IN J&K: Today as the students in the entire country rejoice, and rightly so, I want to ask a question to our students in J&K: Why were they taken for granted on the much graver and unjust issue of the New Reservation Policy? Our politicians could go to Jantar Mantar but what did they deliver when it came to the issue of reservations in J&K? Did they create sustained pressure on the Government? Did they devote themselves to this serious issue with seriousness of purpose? Why did we fail to get justice on our issue? Something to ponder upon.

Hon'ble MLA Dr. Bashir Ahmad Veeri became emotional while presenting the reservation bill, highlighting the gravity of the issue. Yet the bill was defeated, with only 4 members supporting it, all from the JKPDP. Not a single member from the JKNC stood with it.

In the context of JKAS age relaxation case. The government has in its typical Quixotic style subjected aspirants to unprecedented miseries mired in ambiguities. The story as it typically goes on in every case is the about the file. The CM office says they have sent the file to LG office. And LG office has apparently sent it back to approve the logistical costs. CM sahib to the best of my knowledge has not been a particularly meritorious student during his younger days. I am sure he would not know what it takes for a meritorious student to prepare for competitive exams. The uncertainty surrounding the age relaxation is unnerving and an impediment in exams preparations. Could CM sahib please for once issue a statement from the CM office and clear any ambiguities. Here are some facts :- All India Open Merit average age limit is 38 years. In J & K it is 32 years. Fail to understand if every single rule has been applied in J & K post 2019, why this rule has not been applied. My vote is for age relaxation. Yet again a story of whether “UTH” did it or “TUTH” did it.
In view of the unprecedented uncertainty maintained by Govt regarding age relaxation for JKAS aspirants—I will be undertaking an indefinite HUNGER PROTEST at Pratap Park Srinagar starting from 10 PM tonight—This PROTEST will continue until a formal order granting relaxation comes
