Blast (Ethereum L2) is shutting down.
Reason: maintenance costs now exceed revenue, with no path to sustainability.
If you have funds on Blast:
Withdraw to Ethereum mainnet by Oct 26 via the normal interface
⚠ Withdrawals pause for about a week while Blast exits its Lido positions
After Oct 26, you'll need to use the bridge contract directly $63.5M is still in the bridge. Don't wait.
Blast will be shutting down.
We launched Blast with the goal of building a self-sustaining chain for users and developers. Unfortunately, the economics of operating the chain no longer make sense: the ongoing costs of maintaining Blast exceed the revenue generated by the L2, and we do not see a credible path to making the chain economically sustainable.
As a result, we've made the difficult decision to wind Blast down.
We're sorry to the users and developers who believed in Blast, built on it, and supported the ecosystem. Our priority now is making the shutdown as smooth and safe as possible.
We're asking all users to withdraw their assets from Blast to Ethereum mainnet, including any balances held in the Blast PWA.
To make this easier, we will be reducing the withdrawal delay to 24 hours.
As part of the shutdown process, we'll first begin withdrawing Blast's Lido assets. This process is expected to take approximately one week. During this period, withdrawals will temporarily be unavailable, even after the withdrawal delay is reduced to 24 hours.
Once that process is complete, withdrawals will resume with the new 24-hour delay.
Users will have until October 26, 2026 to withdraw through the normal Blast interface.
After October 26, assets will remain withdrawable, but users will need to interact directly with the Blast bridge contracts on Ethereum L1. We'll publish detailed instructions before then.
We strongly encourage everyone to withdraw their assets to Ethereum mainnet before October 26.

Technology should give us more freedom, not create more things demanding our attention.
As the digital world becomes more integrated into everyday life, I’m becoming more interested in projects that focus on two things we often overlook: financial freedom and personal well-being.
That’s what makes the combination of @zerufinance and @sleepagotchi worth exploring.
One brings a new perspective to digital finance, giving people more ways to interact with and manage their assets. The other transforms sleep into an engaging experience, making healthy habits feel more rewarding and sustainable.
Different approaches, but both touch on something important: improving the quality of everyday life.
Financial growth means little if we have no time to enjoy it. And building better habits becomes much easier when technology makes the process enjoyable rather than demanding.
I see these as two complementary parts of a bigger picture:

One thing Web3 has taught me:
Getting attention and getting the right attention are two very different things.
A post can get thousands of views and still leave people with nothing useful.
Another can reach a much smaller audience but make the right person stop, learn something, ask a question or start a conversation.
That distinction matters.
Especially in an industry where everyone is competing for attention at the same time.
This is one of the things I’m interested in exploring with @0xhazels and Pulse.
Not just how far content travels, but what happens because it travelled.
Did it inform someone?
Start a useful conversation?
Reach people who actually care about the subject?
That’s a much more interesting question than simply asking how many views a post received.
And I think creators who understand that will always have something more valuable to contribute.
I’ve been thinking about what actually makes a creator valuable in Web3.
It can’t be followers alone.
It can’t be impressions alone.
And it definitely shouldn’t be how many times you can repeat a project’s talking points.
What matters more is whether your content adds something.
A useful explanation.
A fresh perspective.
A conversation people genuinely want to join.
That’s one reason I’m paying attention to what @0xhazels is building with Pulse.
Its creator contribution model looks beyond raw reach, with content quality, originality, authentic audience response, qualified distribution and conversation all playing a role.
That approach makes sense to me.
If creators are going to be rewarded for attention, there should be a difference between making noise and actually contributing something worth paying attention to.
I’ll be exploring Hazels throughout this campaign and sharing what I find along the way.
Let’s see where the work takes us.
