You’re watching someone tell a story. They’re funny, a little sarcastic, stumbling over a word. Switch languages and suddenly they sound like they’re reading the safety instructions on a flight.
I want to understand what they’re saying without losing the person saying it.
That’s what interests me about this Cartesia clip. Take that idea beyond a meme: being able to follow a Japanese filmmaker or a Brazilian teacher and still hear *them*.
