We’ve published our interim report gov.uk/government/news/inter… following a collision between two passenger trains near Elstow, Bedfordshire, 19 June 2026. This provides an update of our findings and the ongoing investigation. #Elstow #Bedford
Two maroon liveried trains stand nose to tail having collided. The cab of the rearmost train is badly damaged, and the leading train has derailed to the left of the line. A signal gantry spanning the four running lines is visible in the distance. An embankment falls away to the right of the lines.
