Choosing the language to learn first, COBOL or python, depends on a few factors.
Warning: This is not a short answer.
But first, a meme:

Looking to save money on your mainframe? Your first stop should be zIIPs and your map to that stop is @craigmullins book.
If you are an IT professional who works on IBM z Series mainframes, you should read my latest book: "IBM Mainframe Specialty Processors: Understanding zIIPs, Licensing, and Cost Savings on the IBM System z"

A mathematician, statistician and engineer were all asked to prove that every odd number is prime.
Mathematician: 1, 3, 5, 7 are prime but 9 is not. Sorry, but it's not true.
Statistician: 1, 3, 5, 7 are prime, 9 is not but 11 and 13 are so it's MOSTLY true.

I’m here for math geek humor.
Like the time a guy passed me a note that said
“You’re really <90 degree girl”

Can testify. I’ve been doing this for years and it’s terrific! Sometimes I need a whole package but sometimes I just need a couple of slices for a recipe.
Freezing is a great way to preserve bacon, but if it's frozen into a solid slab, it's impossible to remove just a few slices when needed. Use this rolling tip to freeze bacon for easy use next time.

I'm on a mission to rescue an IBM System/38. There are no working examples of this machine remaining, and this one has a good chance of living again. Your support can help preserve this piece of history. Please share & donate if you can! 🙏💖 gofund.me/f7cd3d4c
