Risk management isn't only about size. 𝑅𝑖𝑠𝑘 𝑖𝑛𝑐𝑙𝑢𝑑𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛 𝑒𝑚𝑜𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛𝑎𝑙 𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑑 𝑡𝑜𝑜. All of us have calm, well rested, locked in days. All of us have stressed, fatigued, frustrated days. Our nervous systems have A+ days, and B- days. Be mindful of those B- days. Size down, be consciously more patient with yourself, don't rush into trades. Bad decisions are a lot easier to make when your nervous system is already taxed. Your system includes rules about the market. It needs rules about your mental and physical state too. Respect both, or the market will force you to.

if you just stick with it, success can't deny you
No matter what happens. Never quit trading.

WAIT A SECOND 0.1% of college grads end up making 500k or more per year. BUT 1% of traders make 500k or more per year. You are LITERALLY 10x likelier to make millions as a trader than graduating college. How is this possible?

If your edge only works when you "feel good", you don't have an edge. You have a mood. The system dictates when and what you should do. Stick to it.

Do not make the mistake of thinking you NEED to be taking trading actions. Because you don't. In trading, more work ≠ more money.
Sometimes doing NOTHING is what pays. The markets stayed completely range-bound from premarket levels today. I didn't take any trades. Why? Because, I know days like today, with less volume & tons of uncertainty, I'm most likely to get crushed by chop. If your system relies on momentum like mine, know that you will have days you need to sit out. That's perfectly normal. Doing nothing is a trading action, and one that pays.

There is no perfect time to learn to trade. But the resources you have at your finger tips give you such an advantage. JUST START.
6 months from now we can either have 6 months of progress. Or 6 months of excuses

One of the most valuable skills in trading isn’t finding better setups... It’s catching yourself mid-mistake. Practice seeing yourself from outside. Why do you want to take this trade? Does it match the system, or are you bored? Self-awareness when mastered is a superpower.

Athletes take recovery even more seriously than training. As traders we need to do the same. Recover & prepare. Let's hit monday relentlessly.

Every day you choose one of two paths... PROCESS or EGO You sit at your screen, not finding any setups. Then there is one, but it's very subpar. If you choose process: - you stay away - you know there'll be other opportunities - you celebrate sticking to the system If you choose ego: - you "need" to take the trade - you are just hoping you'll be right - you close a loss, or worse, a win from breaking rules Friends, please. With all your might, choose PROCESS. Process means delayed gratification, but it will pay off in the end. Let go of ego. You don't need to prove anthing, except that you can stick you the process. Be humble, stack the wins, even if they aren't monetary.

Habits are critical to success. Make sure you are nurturing the right ones. Disciplined. Patient. Moving. Humble.
Your success will not come from your goal setting it'll come from your daily habits repeated

𝐷𝑜 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑟𝑢𝑙𝑒𝑠? 𝑂𝑟 𝑝𝑟𝑒𝑓𝑒𝑟𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒𝑠? A preference, you follow when it's easy. A rule, you follow even when it's uncomfortable. Pressure from the market is the REAL test. Not backtesting, not journaling, not 'discipline'. Rules that survive pressure become your plan. Rules that disappear were never rules to begin with. Stick to your rules, or the market will show you it's preference.

Your goals and dreams ARE achievable, no matter what anyone (even you) thinks. But are you willing to do what it takes? If you are, you'll get there my friend.
If you want something you never had, you have to do something you’ve never done.

Take this SERIOUSLY. It will save you a worse drawdown.
Every time you break a rule "just this once" you are not making a one-time exception. "Just this once" quietly tells you brain the rules can be flexible when things become uncomfortable. One decision can affect the rest of your trading for the day, week, month. (thread 👇)

The market never cares about your bills, your goals, or how badly you "need" a win. Trade the setup. Or don't trade at all. You can't make the right decisions when you mind is muddled with need. Stay off the charts until you have a clear, empty mind.

A max loss day costs more than just the dollars you lost. It costs the quality of your decisions tomorrow. It costs the clarity needed to follow the plan. It costs the confidence you have already built up. Don't just count the money. There is a mental cost also. Go into the next day, the next trades, with this in mind. DON'T trade if the cost is still weighing on your mind, until you've regained quality, clarity, and confidence.

Compounding your trading gains is boring. On purpose. No big dopamine hits, no big "I crushed it" reels. Just the same process on repeat. Same risk rules. Same entry rules. Same exit rules. Same executions. Boring but consistent gains change lives. Excitement is just a mood.

The next time you want to bend the rules to take a trade, remember the actual cost. Don't let yourself build a bad habit. Don't let your account bleed out anymore. Following the plan is how you win. Why would you need a plan if you could win without rules?

Protect the small decisions. You felt tempted to bend the rules for a trade that was almost right, but you didn't. Celebrate those wins. Because that decision you made, to stick to the rules, will compound more than anything else you could do.
