Yemeni Armed Forces: 756 strikes carried out against Houthi military targets over 72 hours The Yemeni Armed Forces said they carried out 756 targeted operations against what they described as legitimate Houthi military targets across several fronts over the past 72 hours. Armed Forces spokesman Col. Majed Abdullah al-Nazili said the operations involved air force assets, drones, snipers, field artillery and rocket launchers, targeting Houthi positions, personnel and military capabilities on the following fronts: -Kitaf and Al-Buqa (Saadah) -Alab Axis (Saadah) -Al-Jawf -#Marib -Al-Bayda -Lahj -#Taiz According to al-Nazili, the operations destroyed or damaged a number of armored personnel carriers, military vehicles and reinforcements, missile launchers, weapons depots and other military equipment belonging to the Houthis. He said 2,316 Houthi fighters were killed or wounded in the operations. He also said four Iranian specialists involved in operating and launching drones and missiles were killed in Taiz Governorate, describing their presence as further evidence of continued Iranian support and technical assistance to the Houthis. Al-Nazili said the Yemeni Armed Forces restrict their operations to what he described as legitimate military targets. He accused the Houthis of falsely attributing attacks on civilians and civilian infrastructure to government forces in an attempt to conceal their own actions. The spokesman also accused Houthi forces of planting internationally prohibited mines along roads and in valleys in Lahj, saying they pose a threat to civilians, restrict movement and compound the suffering of local communities. Al-Nazili said the Armed Forces would remain committed to the principles and objectives of Yemen’s September 26 Revolution and would continue what he described as their responsibility to combat Houthi “terrorism,” protect civilians and national assets, and restore security, stability and the rule of law.
