PGY-3: 5 of 20 = 25%
PGY-2: 3 of 19 = 16%
PGY-1: 13 of 21 = 62%
The newest class isn’t just more international, nearly two-thirds of the entire class attended medical school in Pakistan.
Maybe this is what happens when an Abbott-appointee simultaneously serves as U.S. coordinator for an initiative of Pakistan’s Ministry of Planning.

During the Arab-Israeli wars, Egypt and Syria had a small contingent of veteran Pakistani instructor pilots. They had extensive combat experience and in encounters with Israeli fighters, the PAF guys actually won.
The Arabs largely ignored their advice in favor of the Soviets, who had a completely, doctrinally flawed understanding of air combat, and didn’t understand how to correctly employ their *own aircraft*. Meanwhile the Pakistanis were well aware of how effective the MiG-21 could be since they’d spent years fighting against Indian ones.
Now, that’s not to say they *completely* ignored them. They were running training courses and did give them some vital input.
But overall, the Arabs largely disregarded South Asian combat veterans in favor of inexperienced Europeans, and they paid for that arrogance with their lives
Pakistani ummahjeets who have never traveled outside Pakistan and interacted with ordinary Arab people cannot understand the racism South Asians face from Arabs in general.
Forget others, just talk with Palestinians in real life, and you’ll understand what I mean.
