The attack was carried out because he’s responsible for the university’s cooperation with the French defense giant Thales on AI accuracy systems in missiles.
Thales provides many of the weapon systems used by the Belgian military and is of crucial importance for the country’s national security.
These organized left-wing violent attacks and intimidation campaigns against Europe’s brightest minds in the defense industry are a threat to our national security and only benefit the aggressor state centered around Moscow.

Having good PR is important.
Being indispensable is even more important.
Palestinians have all the good PR in the world, but all they have to offer are grievances and hijackings- be they airliners, or in the case of Jordan and Lebanon, the entire country.
There’s a reason that on October 7th, nobody who claims to support Palestine, even Hezbollah, came to join their war effort in any meaningful way. They just sat there and let them get killed.

There are literally individual Israeli infantry reserve brigades made out of grouchy 34 year old software engineers on their 3rd deployment with more kills than all of Hezbollah combined.

For example, in the 73 war, the Soviet tanks in Arab service had advanced night vision equipment.
Israeli tanks did not.
They had to rely on illumination artillery rounds and ambient lighting from the Arab tanks that were still on fire from the daytime fighting

Some unusual LARP for today. The West German Luftwaffe in a Soviet invasion scenario.
The Luftwaffe did something very strange with their F-4s. They bought them without the capability to launch radar guided missiles. They were planning on taking on the USSR with heat seekers only.
I’ve heard multiple explanations for why that is, ranging from political to simply cheaping out to save money.
As you can see here, it would have been a disadvantage but not an insurmountable one. Electronic warfare interferes with the Soviets ability to launch their own radar missiles until they’re almost in range of our AIM9Ls, which was a fantastic missile. But it does mean they got the first volley and killed one of my flight.
It’s sufficient for MiG-23s and 21s, but up against 29s and SU-27s I think these guys would have been in trouble

IDF won every ground engagement in Lebanon.
This is a cope Arabs do: “Well, the Jews are better at intelligence and air, but we’re stronger and braver.” The problem is they aren’t that either.
There is no aspect of military affairs in which they are superior. Life isn’t like a video game where the factions are balanced.
Over the past 80 years we’ve seen every possible scenario. We’ve seen them with Western backing and with Soviet, with modern weapons and without, with the element of surprise and without, with the numerical advantage and without, with a modern Air Force and without, and they lose over and over and over and over and over again.
