Ndaa, Limpopo Premier,
@PhophiRamathuba. Le tsogile botse na?
I bring to your attention a road from Ga Phago to Ga Maribana. These are villages in Moletjie, Limpopo Province. It doesn’t even qualify to be called a road anymore.
Are you impressed, Premier?
Anyway, For as long as people of Ga Ga Phago, Ga Maribana, Ga Piet, Ga Mabiloane, Flora, Marowe, Mphela, Ditengteng don’t do anything about this situation, they will forever have these kinds of roads.
No one village will fix this on their own. If these villages don’t come together, band together and show those municipalities that they are there to serve you, then nothing will ever get done. You cannot have “regravelling” in 2025 that will go back to a horrible state a year later. It should be tar roads or nothing.
The people have the power. They must know how to use it.
Just the other day, a hearse got stuck on one of thee roads on the way to the house where the was a funeral. This is South Africa, 30 years after democracy. Over 80% of the roads in rural Limpopo are gravel. There is no tar road.
I am not even gonna talk about schools in the area because kids study in containers. We will be complaining about matric results when kids don’t even have proper places to study.
