It’s just part of the evolutionist’s story. They believe there were common ancestors between kinds, there’s just no evidence for common ancestors between kinds
The hypothetical “common ancestor” is never identified because no one has the slightest evidence of what it looked like or even if it existed at all!

Don't hide in the vagaries. What evidence is irrefutable that all living creatures share a common ancestor? How do you know it for certain?

Why don’t you ask Francis Collins? I’m sure he would be thrilled to educate you because you certainly need it

You brought up FC. Make your case. Why are you hiding behind his false-faith skirt?

All of that "evidence" is actually evidence in support of the creation view. Of course we would expect similarities. Same designer uses same design concepts. The existence of fossils at all is strong affirmation of the flood as described in Genesis. If the fossils were really as old as has been claimed by evolutionists, there wouldn't be any because the erosion rate is much much higher than the deposition rate. All fossils would have eroded away if there were actually millions of years. Fossils are the domain of Christians. One of the worst problems for evolutionists is genetics. Their predictions are universally incorrect, while creationist predictions are confirmed with every new discovery

Absolute rubbish, your first problem is you have to prove a creator exists, the flood never happened, thermodynamics shows it was impossible plus there isn’t enough water for a depth of 19km, and how does your ridiculous creationism explain the k-pg boundary layer or the CBR?
