What If Fans could own a piece of the value they help Create?
Fans already create value for the entertainment they love.
- They stream the music.
- They buy the albums.
- They attend the shows.
- They promote the artists.
- They keep the community alive.
But traditionally, the economic side of that value has been separated from the people who support the IP.
Soneium is exploring a different model here. On September 28, 2026, Soneium announced a partnership with DayOneDream to bring K-pop IP onchain as tokenized assets through WAVIST, DayOneDream’s K-pop IP tokenization platform.
And this is where things get interesting.
WAVIST has already completed the full lifecycle of a tokenized IP bond used to finance K-pop IP; from issuance to final redemption and burning.
Now, Soneium and DayOneDream are exploring how K-pop IP and its associated economic value can move onchain.
This creates a different relationship between IP, capital and audiences, instead of fans simply consuming entertainment.
What if they could participate in the value surrounding the IP?
Soneium describes the goal as creating new ways for eligible users to access and participate in IP they already support, while giving IP owners additional ways to monetize and raise capital. Participation is subject to eligibility and applicable regulations.
And this is bigger than K-pop.
It points toward a future where entertainment IP can become more than something people:
watch → listen to → buy.
It can become something people can participate in economically through onchain structures.
That is the interesting shift: from fandom to participation.
And Soneium is putting infrastructure behind that idea.
In the future, digital ownership may not be about owning more things, but it may be about having new ways to participate in the value of the things we already love.
