I’m not naming names and I’m not getting involved in anyone else’s personal drama. But watching everything unfold over the last few days reminded me of something that I think EVERYONE in this industry needs to hear. YOU are responsible for the trades you place. Not the guy on X. Not the Discord owner. Not the indicator. Not the whale you followed. Not GEX. Not order flow. You. I post my trades. I post my analysis. I put my own money, work and reputation behind what I believe. And I’ve been wrong. I got absolutely smoked in April. I gave back my January-March gains. Then I recovered, had a strong May and eventually flipped the year back into the green. That’s trading. Someone following the exact same trades with 2–5% exposure could have an entirely different experience from somebody throwing 50–100% of their account into them. Same trade. Same entry. Same exit. Completely different outcome. That’s why risk management matters more than damn near anything else in this game. You could follow somebody with a 90% win rate and feel like a genius 90% of the time. But if you’re full porting every trade, eventually that other 10% shows up. And when it does, you can lose everything. That’s not a signal problem. That’s a risk management problem. Everything we use in trading is based on probability, not certainty. Indicators. GEX. Whales. MACD. RSI. Market structure. Order flow. Technical patterns. Fundamentals. Proprietary signals. We’re using these things because we know they give us an edge over a large sample size. None of them are a crystal ball. You’re going to have winning streaks. You’re going to have losing streaks. Green months. Red months. Maybe even a red year. Sizing is what makes sure you’re still around when your edge starts working again. I’ve watched someone get absolutely dragged publicly over the last couple days. I don’t know every detail of the personal situation and I’m not pretending I do. I’m not taking a side on any of that. But I do know this. If you voluntarily place a trade because someone else posted it, you still own that trade. You chose the entry. You chose the size. You chose whether to average down. You chose whether to stop out. You chose how much of your account you were willing to risk. Content creators should absolutely be accountable for what they say and transparent about what they’re doing. But accountability goes both ways. If you’re going to participate in markets, learn position sizing before you learn how to find the next 10 bagger. Because you can have the greatest strategy in the fucking world and still blow yourself up with terrible risk management. An edge makes you money. Risk management keeps you alive long enough to realize the edge.

The fraud narrative is no longer sticking. So now the message has shifted to fear: put Somali faces next to gangs, shootings and crime, repeat it over and over, and make white suburban families believe Somalis are a threat to their safety and their way of life. And the timing matters. Minnesotans are facing one of the most consequential elections in decades. Almost as soon as early voting began, gang violence and anti-Somali rhetoric started dominating the airwaves. Which raises an obvious question. With the full weight of a federal government that has been openly hostile toward Somalis, are we really supposed to believe that the FBI, federal prosecutors and local law enforcement agencies, with all the resources at their disposal, don’t know what is happening or who is responsible? If gangs are behind this violence, then name them. Who are these gangs supposedly wreaking havoc in our communities? Who leads them? Where are the charges? Where is the evidence? Instead, the broader Somali community is being smeared in openly racist terms. And when elections get close, we’ve seen this playbook before. Take the alleged actions of a few people. Attach them to an entire community. Flood the airwaves with fear. Turn Somali identity itself into the story. Then use that fear to stir up racial resentment among white suburban voters. That is how a public-safety issue gets turned into a political weapon. Call it what it is: racial scapegoating dressed up as a public-safety debate. The timing of all this is impossible to ignore.

One of these things is not like the other.
