Open to emerging professionals aged 30 and under, the program is designed to give the next generation of housing leaders direct access to the people, ideas and networks shaping the future of housing delivery in Canada.
Participants will gain practical industry knowledge, develop their leadership skills, build relationships with mentors and industry leaders, and receive full access to Canada Builds Modern. Through three dedicated Studio Sessions and participation in the broader Summit, Young Innovators will be challenged to think boldly, collaborate across disciplines and develop the skills and connections they need to play a meaningful role in transforming how housing is delivered in Canada.

the thing that frustrates me most about the whole fake "yimby vs nature" debate is that the number 1 opponent of unspoiled wilderness is suburban sprawl. if you let people build apartments in cities, you won't end up bulldozing nature to build culdesacs
This view will never get old to me. And it’s crazy that there are people who look at this, and all they see is a lack of high-density housing, lack of good transit, and a perfect site for solar panels

Talked to CityNews about how well received the Church St pedestrianization pilot was!
Spoke about:
- (queer) third spaces
- pedestrianizing other streets,
- bringing back the pilot next year (hopefully longer in length and time)
- need for more flexibility+support from the city
While some critics at Toronto City Hall were skeptical of the Church Street pedestrianization plan at first, Chris Moise, the councillor for Ward 13 Toronto Centre who championed the project, called it “a huge success” in an interview with CityNews. toronto.citynews.ca/2026/08/…
