This union president is the only person getting paid, while others are being quietly let go and companies are moving to automate.
You cannot drop of Mike, unless his entire purpose was to quicken the rate of automation and less need for the workers he is supposedly protecting.
If you’re part of the
@UAW, you should think long and hard.
Will companies give up profit and revenue for you? Or will they build robots to do the jobs that you used to do?
That is rhetorical because we all know the answer. So the longer this strike goes on, the more money, those companies move and the more incentive they have to cut workers and automate.
I would’ve taken a 20% offered, and then demanded training for AI and robotics. (this is what a good union president would’ve been doing. Thinking of his workers, not just for today, but for the foreseeable future.)
I stand with the workers, which is why I state the obvious. I wish you all well.
