While each country has its own president and laws, Africa has strong, deep connections with each other — through family ties across borders, shared history, culture, languages, and economies.
Many foreign nationals are part of this extended African family. We can enforce our immigration laws firmly and legally, but brutality damages the Ubuntu and solidarity that bind us as one continent. Black on black hate is a weapon in the hands of the oppressors.
