Sardarian was drafted out of Russia (not the NCAA) in 2021, so his rights don’t expire until he turns 27 (he’s currently 23). Release says he’ll report to AHL Chicago but he doesn’t currently have a contract - not that he needs an NHL one to play for the Wolves.
The #Canes have acquired forward Stiven Sardarian from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for future considerations.

One of my key frustrations with the “Canes Yard Sale” is just how badly the Facebook Marketplace Thousandaires decided to game the system so that actual hockey players could no longer get actual hockey equipment. Player sticks are not as valuable as you think they are.

Most equipment at those things has little value to youth hockey anyway - helmets don’t have required labels, sticks are too long/too high a flex - but as @DebM_ACK said, it’d be nice if they got a chance.
