The House passed our Preventing Violence Against Women by Illegal Aliens Act, 274 to 145.
Every NO vote was a Democrat. Under the bill, noncitizens convicted of sex offenses or domestic violence, or who admit to such crimes, would be inadmissible. Anyone convicted of a sex offense, or of conspiring to commit one, would face deportation.
Every woman and every girl deserves to feel safe in their own community.

We introduced the Speak Your Truth Act to stop abusers from using defamation lawsuits to silence the people they hurt.
Under the bill, a survivor who wins a defamation or libel case in federal court is entitled to reasonable attorney’s fees and costs, paid by the plaintiff.
Too often, abusers use the courts as a weapon.
The truth is not defamation.

A mother in Queens has been arrested after she allegedly SUFFOCATED HER 5-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER TO DE*TH.
Her name was Fabiana Cabello, she was 5 years old and about to start KINDERGARTEN.
On Wednesday, just before 7 p.m., police say her mother, 32-year-old Francis Cabello, called 911 saying, "I k*lled my daughter."
Upstairs, in a bedroom, they found little 5 year old Fabiana unconscious with a bruise on her temple.
Officers RAN her out of the house and rushed her to Jamaica Hospital.
She didn’t make it.
The medical examiner found scrapes and BROKEN BLOOD VESSELS around her eyes, her heart and her lungs that suggest asphyxia.

A 5-year-old, an 8-year-old, an 11-year-old, and a teacher did not come home from Silver Rail Elementary. Two more are fighting for their lives.
A 16-year-old gunman forced his way into the school by shooting at locked doors. A community member ran in after him and stopped him. His courage saved lives. God bless this hero.
