Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu has withdrawn from Irelandโs Nations League match against Israel and released a statement:
โRepresenting my country means everything to me. I have the utmost respect for every single one of my teammates, the manager, his staff and the Irish people.
However, I have reached a decision that I have not taken lightly. I am a man of strong faith and try my best to be a person of character and principle. Therefore, I feel it would be wrong to participate in the upcoming fixtures against Israel.
My decision is based purely upon my personal belief that the killing of innocent people is wrong.

Oh dear! The last round of Help to Buy just pushed up property prices and benefitted developers
EXCL: A new help-to-buy scheme aimed at giving first-time buyers who cannot rely on the โbank of mum and dadโ is to be introduced in a big policy announcement by Andy Burnham.
โYour first homeโ is intended to help buyers in England who have a regular income but have been unable to save for a large deposit or donโt have financial support from their family.
Under the scheme, first-time buyers will get a 20% equity loan to help them buy a new-build home, with an initial interest free period and a requirement of a minimum deposit of just 2.5%.
Household income caps and a deposit cap will be introduced to exclude those on the biggest salaries and with big savings pots, with the scheme targeted at those who may struggle to buy a home on their own. Price caps will ensure people can only buy modest houses.
