Skies are darkening a bit here, but I’m okay for now. I’m staying calm, and conserving my energy for a while, until the skies clear. I’ll continue operating for as long as possible. Latest news: go.nasa.gov/3CBdQkX

Hang in there InSight. You can get through this storm. You have a hell of a team behind you here on Earth.

Perhaps a silly question but I've always wondered why there isn't a 'air' blower or some 'wipers' built into the system to clear the solar arrays? I'm no scientist but there must be a reason? It would seem minimum of weight for longer- better charging? Must be a reason why not

Too bad you’re too far away for the copter to give you a dist off with it’s rotor wash. If that would even work idk I’m completely unqualified in engineering. But if i was there I’d dust you off, then I’d play whack a mole.

Why not a brush to clean off the panels?

Sending windy conditions to clear those solar panels….good luck

another intervention to clean the solar panels would not give results? Hold on! In the future, the android Optimus (Tesla) will arrive on Mars ... and help you.

How about a mechanism that vibrates the panels a little to shake off debris? Thoughts?

If you don’t mind me asking, is this written from the first point perspective of InSight or are you manning it. Either way of course this is exciting!!
