This is why I have so much empathy for Catholics. I cannot imagine how hard it would be to even be open to other possible beliefs because of who the RCC is and what they claim. I would have to willingly put on biblical "blinders" or use the RCC special revelation "glasses" to even understand some of their points about Mary. Jesus didnt come with a complex, hard to attain salvation message that only *some* can truly understand and explain. That's why I have a passion for them. It's incredibly difficult for them to gain the courage to seek Him instead of what they've been taught to believe. Thats why its said the Rome draws people into itself. To break free is unimaginably difficult. Pray for them often.

The Catholic dogma of Apostolic Succession is unbiblical and demonstrably false. Catholicism teaches that Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom and that among other things, he and the apostles were given the authority to appoint apostles to be their successors. Now we clearly see from scripture, there are two requirements for being an apostle. Satisfying either is sufficient. They are: 1. They must be chosen directly by Christ. And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles: Lk 6:13 2. They must have been a disciple who was a witness of Jesus’ ministry. So one of the men who have accompanied us during all the time that the Lord Jesus went in and out among us, beginning from the baptism of John until the day when he was taken up from us—one of these men must become with us a witness to his resurrection. Acts 1:21-22 From scripture, we know the original 12 and Paul satisfy the 1st requirement. And we see from Acts 1 that Matthias met the 2nd requirement. But that’s it. No Early Church Fathers satisfy either of those requirements and none of the rest of the bishops throughout the centuries qualify either and they are thus not successors to the apostles. Thus the Catholic dogma of Apostolic Succession is demonstrably false because it is antibiblical.

One of the sickest and saddest teachings of catholicism is that of purgatory. Not only is it a slap in the face to the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross, how many people will burn in Hell forever believing that "oh just a little longer until I burn my sin off" and that day never come for all of eternity? There is no purgatory. There is no second chance. There is no waiting period. One of the biggest problems Catholicism has is that historically it just made stuff that is directly contrary to scripture and then they tell us it’s apostolic tradition. But as we show how absurd some of these teachings are, they can’t abandon them because they also teach the pope and the Magisterium are infallible and once it becomes part of the official teaching of the church, they’re stuck. So over the centuries, Catholicism has accumulated so much baggage that it has just become a disfigured monster of false dogma and heresy.
