Looks like T.J. Hughes won the battle over Gavin Brindley.
Michigan fans were spoiled by this race. Two great players, two great people. Both deserved a spot. Both will make an impact on Colorado's pro ranks for a while.
No doubt Gav will sit near the top of the call-up sheet.

I don't think I quite realized just how much Erik Karlsson has clawed his way back to elite status offensively. He has his warts (particularly defensively), but, with optimized usage, he's an incredibly valuable asset.

Despite being Michigan’s highest scorer 2 seasons in a row, Hughes always got tagged as a future top line AHLer because he stayed in college for 4 years. But he’s got the work ethic and the skills to make an impact in the NHL. Hope he gets a real look with the Avs.

Fantili's comfortably a "good" player. His ability to advance the puck earns him a good chunk of minutes at the top of the lineup and he finishes well enough to cash in on the possessions. Middling defensive impacts have kept him from true 1C status, but at 21, he'll get there.
