Another Major Achievement by Safe City Meri Pehchan Punjab Safe Cities Authority’s Meri Pehchan Center is playing an important role in identifying separated persons with special needs through advanced biometric technology and NADRA records. On September 23, 2026, the Meri Pehchan team visited the Punjab Institute of Mental Health, where biometric verification of more than 51 individuals under treatment was conducted. Through the advanced identification system, 26 individuals were successfully identified. Meri Pehchan is more than an identification system. NADRA’s PakID mobile app lets you view your family members’ details registered in NADRA records, free of charge. In the app, go to “Family” and select “Family Tree”. If you find an unrelated person, tap “Report Unrelated Person” to report it.

NADRA and the Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Lahore have signed an agreement to link student registration for Matric & Intermediate exams with NADRA’s national identity records. The secure data exchange will help reduce errors and improve record accuracy.

Women aged 18+ who could not obtain a CNIC due to the absence of a birth certificate may apply under NADRA’s special facilitation, subject to conditions. The facility is available until 31 Dec 2026. Men aged 24+ may also apply under specified conditions.
