Our medical teams are seeing a surge of violence and harassment against Palestinians in Hebron, the West Bank. "We are all terrified. People think that the situation in Gaza will happen in the West Bank. Are we next? We just don’t know when..."

Fellow Ugandans, especially the Bazzukulu. Greetings, again. Congratulations on finishing 2023 and entering 2024. Good news: Maama Janet has defeated Coronavirus. This morning, her samples were sent to Mbarara and they were all negative. Thank you for your prayers. Two days ago, I checked, again, for corona and the results were negative like they were on the 26th of December, 2023. The doctors are now saying that corona spreads more through touching yourself on the soft parts of the body (the eyes, the nose, the mouth, etc.) with infected hands than even through breathing. Is it true? Hon. Jane Aceng, please clarify to all. Maama is now out of self-isolation. She fought bravely. Praised be the Lord. To watch are the door-handles, tables, arm-chairs that need to be sanitized and documents and, of course, the unnecessary hand shaking.   Signed: Yoweri K. Museveni Gen (Rtd) Ssaabalwanyi

I held a meaningful discussion today at State House, Entebbe with His Highness Charles Wesley Mumbere, the Omusinga of the Rwenzururu Kingdom. I am happy that the Kingdom has outlined new objectives centred around peace, reconciliation, and socio-economic transformation, aligning perfectly with our vision and historic mission in the NRM. These objectives were communicated to the Lukiiko during the restoration of Kingdoms, emphasising the importance of guiding our African people toward sustainable prosperity through business and strategic security. We won't compromise on this path. I'm delighted that during our meeting, we reached an understanding that we won't repeat any regressive conflicts. Cultural heritage should continue to play a vital role, highlighting the interconnectedness of our people.
