Most of CT will see 1"-4" of snow accumulation today, with the highest amounts in the NW hills, where there could be 4"-5" in some places. As the temperature aloft rises above freezing, with surfaces temps remaining near or below freezing, we will see the light snow mix with and change to freezing rain in many parts of the state late this morning, into the afternoon, from southeast to northwest. Models below indicate ice accretion of 0.1" possible in some towns, which will be hazardous. NW hills may remain mostly, or all snow, while immediate shore points & the southeast corner of the state will probably creep up to 33-34 degrees this afternoon, with some plain rain before the precipitation ends by this evening. Anything wet or slushy this afternoon will freeze solid tonight!
