This is actually a lie. Informal power exist too and actually can be greater than formal power!
Women have more power in society than we have in previous generations and that’s going to keep increasing. To wield that power well we need to root out this behavior whenever we see it. Zero tolerance policy for toxic mean girl sociopathy, it is embarrassing behavior.

Most men don’t understand female relational aggression. It is subtle yet vicious. There is always plausible deniability. The aggressor in a mean girl dynamic will always play the victim and deny any wrongdoing. She will trash another woman behind her back, make up lies, actively work to turn people against her and destroy her social reputation, all while maintaining the facade of being the nice good girl. It’s a very subtle and insidious form of DARVO: deny, attack, reverse victim and offender. Every woman I know dealt with this growing up. Some women never grow out of it and operate this way into adulthood. Seeing even a hint of it in another woman is enough for me to avoid them like the plague.

If you believe there exist innate psychological differences between men and women that make this true, that’s already against progressive orthodoxy.
If you think socialization is what makes this true, then it’s weird that “patriarchal” socialization makes the disfavored class better people than the favored class, and it would be weird to argue we should change how women are socialized given that the current regime apparently makes women highly moral.
It doesn’t make sense even within their own worldview if you think about it for 2 seconds. But that’s fine because it’s not meant to describe reality. It’s meant to be a content-free applause line.
