🇲🇽 Protests have erupted in Mexico's Guadalajara as residents report foul-smelling, brown and black water flowing from their taps. Testing of household water samples found lead, mercury, nitrates and E. coli, raising serious contamination concerns. Police used tear gas and water cannons during demonstrations, leaving dozens injured and nearly 40 people arrested. President Claudia Sheinbaum criticized the police response and promised to review water infrastructure projects as further protests are planned.
