Following our previous update, we can confirm that this security incident resulted in approximately $50.4k in stablecoins being stolen from the liquidity wallet of a Nimiq partner on Polygon. We have filed reports with the relevant security and compliance channels and are actively working to trace and, where possible, recover the funds. Our assessment so far indicates that no additional funds were affected. Given the remaining risk profile, including a frontrunning risk, OpenGSN-based Gas Abstraction for stablecoin transactions will remain disabled across Nimiq Pay and Nimiq Wallet while we implement and review a safer alternative. We will continue to share updates as the investigation progresses.
