Blizzard is adding stronger weather effects to World of Warcraft: Forever, and players are loving it.
The official WoW announced that “increased weather effects” are coming to some zones during the beta, bringing back one of the features that made classic WoW feel more alive.
Dynamic weather was a big part of classic WoW's atmosphere, with snowstorms in Dun Morogh and heavy rain in Stranglethorn Vale. Over the years, many of these effects became less common, leading players to ask Blizzard to bring them back.
Blizzard hasn't explained how far the weather system will go yet, but this could be a great way to make Azeroth feel more like a living world. The studio has even said it wants to make “Azeroth the main character.”
