📃PUBLIC STATEMENT BY Dave Bjorkman Leader, Party of the Canadian Constitutionalists (PCC) – For Canada The 51st State
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fellow Canadians,
What we are witnessing right now from Prime Minister Mark Carney and Defence Procurement Secretary Stephen Fuhr CD is not diplomacy, it is a dangerous, reckless betrayal of our absolute most critical security alliance. Under the guise of "strategic autonomy," this administration is actively tearing down our ironclad relationships with NORAD and NATO, putting Canada on a direct collision course with our closest neighbor, ally, and economic lifeline: the United States.
Let’s look at the facts of what Carney and Fuhr are doing:
Sabotaging NORAD and Air Defense:
By deliberately pulling back from American air defense systems and refusing to fully integrate into North American Ballistic Missile Defence, they are blinding our airspace. They are locking Canada out of critical decision-making rooms and forcing a rift in NORAD that leaves our skies unprotected.
Walking Away From Our Closest Ally:
Fuhr is actively cutting off multi-billion dollar defense contracts with U.S. firms and walking away from premier American tech like the F-35. Instead of strengthening the continental shield, they are shopping around the globe for alternative hardware, treating our greatest ally like a hostile trading partner.
Triggering a Pointless Feud Over Arms Controls:
They are deliberately mismanaging our military rules to pick a fight with American ITAR regulations. Instead of aligning our security standards with the U.S. to keep vital defense technology flowing smoothly, they are using technicalities to alienate American defense agencies.
This isn't just bad policy; it is a manufactured crisis. By cutting ties with American defense systems, holding cozy military talks with foreign adversaries, and picking fights with Washington over trade and procurement, Carney and Fuhr are driving a wedge between our two nations. They are needlessly plunging Canada into a diplomatic and military freeze with the United States, a superpower we share a continent with.
The Party of the Canadian Constitutionalists sees this path for exactly what it is: a fast track to economic ruin and national vulnerability.
True security for Canada doesn't come from turning our backs on America or pretending we can survive as an isolated island. It comes from realizing our destiny lies in total, seamless integration as Canada The 51st State.
We must halt this reckless path before Carney and Fuhr permanently shatter the continental alliance that keeps us safe.
