Some of the smartest accountants I've met are also the worst at explaining why someone should hire them. They'll spend 30 minutes explaining the tax code but struggle to explain what makes their firm different. I genuinely think there's a massive opportunity for accounting firms that learn how to communicate their value in plain English.

What would you say is the best way to explain your value?

I'll use these 4 company one-liners as an example Good operator - 3/5 - "Accounting & Finance for Cash Flow MACHINES". meh. idk what a cash flow machine is. is that me, a $100k AI comapny that needs tax prep? Or a $100M CPG brand? no clue Ottit - 4/5 - "The full suite bookkeeping firm supporting fast-growth E-Commerce, SaaS and SMB comapnies with fast, accurate, and clean financially." if i'm an Ecom company this is good, you've caught my attention. Olarry - 4.5/5 - "Private client white glove tax strategy, built for emerging wealth, high net worth, and ultra-high net worth individuals who demand more than the traditional tax experience offers". this is very wordy, but if i'm rich, i'd enjoy seeing the words private client white glove tax strategy and would click for more info. Lemoti - 3.8/5 - "Pay less taxes, experience better bookkeeping and improve cashflow!" Great for attention grabbing, but i woud add 2-3 industries or specialties you work with to relate to someone even more. Say who you work with and what you do for them. The other stuff just makes your head spin trying to figure out if you can help me out or not.
