The NHC has extended Hurricane Rachel’s forecast cone into far Southern California. Forecasting now to move over the U.S.–Mexico border as a weak tropical storm or depression this weekend.

🌊 Coastal Impacts: Southerly swell bringing 5-6ft surf. Coastal flood advisory active through Friday afternoon for low-lying beaches.
🌧️ Rain Potential: Remnant moisture could bring 2-3 inches of rain across SoCal between Saturday and Sunday.
