NOAA’s Hurricane Hunters just recorded a surface wind gust of ~190 MPH inside the eyewall of Hurricane Polo, while a deployed drone flying at 500 meters above sea-level measured winds exceeding 230 MPH.
We are watching one of the all-time most extreme Western Hemisphere storms on record unfold before our eyes tonight.

After meandering near southwest Mexico as a monster category 5 hurricane, #Polo is now on a steady northwest track away from the coast.
This weekend, it will take a turn north before hitting Baja California early next week as a category 1.

Hurricane #Polo has become a CATEGORY 5 once again and is expected to turn towards #Mexico and potentially deliver MAJOR IMPACTS to portions of Baja California Sur and even Moderate Impacts to Sonora. Will be streaming later tonight to answer your questions!

While Hurricane #Polo is currently over cooler waters estimated at around 55F, it is expected to enter waters 30 DEGREES WARMER, up to around 88F (31C) which will help give the #hurricane another boost in intensity. A second Category 5 peak cannot be ruled out.

With current sustained winds of 165 mph, 920 mb pressure, and peak seas of 40+ feet, it’s currently parked off Mexico. The core stays offshore, but a massive swell is coming. Models have it hitting SoCal late week into the weekend, bringing 10–15 ft faces to south-facing spots and up to 20+ at Wedge. After Marie took 150 feet of beach since 2023, the city isn’t waiting around.

This is an idicator I use to trade called the MRI (momentum reversal indicator). It helps predict the number of candles up to a reversal, and it does a really awesome job!

The MRI has been calling the 12 hour tops like magic.
I understand the12 hour is an obsure timeframe, but the MRI has always done a phenomenal job at identifying those reversals.
