POV: You’re coming home after a journey around the Moon. 🌕 Before reentering Earth’s atmosphere at the end of Artemis II, the Orion spacecraft’s crew module — carrying the astronauts — separated from the service module that provided propulsion and power throughout the mission.

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

We’ve captured one of our best images of the @Space_Station yet. The number of satellites in orbit is set to increase tenfold in the next decade. At the same time, space-to-space threats are rising and the need to inspect and maintain satellites is accelerating faster than anyone expected. Resolution alone won't deliver what's needed. True understanding comes from observing satellites frequently, from multiple angles and orbits, so you can see how they behave, respond to their environment, and what they're capable of across time and geography. That's why HEO focuses on high-frequency Non-Earth Imaging. Our technology is built for speed, scale, and adaptability, operating across multiple orbits with diverse satellite providers to deliver more coverage, more data, and faster insights into thousands of satellites. This approach will get us to a future where satellite inspection is truly on-demand. You tell us you want an image of your satellite and we deliver imagery and analysis when you need them. Here’s a short video I made that shows off the equipment, raw shots, and final product of my latest sun/rocket photo. Shots like these are a lot of work to chase down, but so worth it!

Congratulations to @RFA_Space who have received their Spaceflight Operator Licence from @UK_CAA - the first licence for vertical orbital launches from Europe. 🚀 Another step forward for UK launch capabilities, supporting jobs and growth across the space sector. 🚀🇬🇧
📢 RFA received its launch licence!! We are thrilled to announce that we have been awarded our Spaceflight Operator Licence by the @UK_CAA! This historic licence makes us the first European company to receive regulatory approval for orbital rocket launches from mainland Europe 🤯 The licence is not limited in time and covers a wide range of orbits and trajectories. All three key regulatory authorisations required for an RFA ONE test flight in 2025 from @SaxaVordSpaceport have now been granted 🚀 What a vote of confidence from @UK_CAA and @spacegovuk, thank you! We flew over Hurricane Milton about 90 minutes ago. Here is the view out the Dragon Endeavour window. Expect lots of images from this window as this is where I’m sleeping while we wait to undock and return to Earth. Timelapse coming in a separate post. 1/6400 sec, f8, ISO 500

We mourn the passing of astronaut Bill Anders, lunar module pilot for Apollo 8, and backup pilot for the Gemini XI and Apollo 11 flights. One of the first three people to travel beyond the reach of our Earth and orbit the Moon, Anders took the legendary Earthrise photo. More on his legacy: go.nasa.gov/4aO6VUo
