Had to be my first VRS Lan but russians exist. Unluko
Ukrainian esports tournament OTM Kyiv will take place online and not in LAN as it was planned because LAN location got hit by Russian missile
This location had no connection to the military and was simply civilian infrastructure
I hope that guys from @HLTVorg will mention how Ukrainian esports is becoming one of the victims of Russian terrorism

Even though the Games of the Future are not taking place in russia this year, war criminal russian president vladimir putin still recorded a video message for the tournament's participants.
This fact once again highlights that this tournament series, founded in russia, is not aimed at developing new sports. Its all about normalizing russia's reputation on the international stage. Terrorist state created and funds these competitions so russians cannot be disqualified or forced to compete under a neutral status. russia spends insane amounts of money to lure sports and esports stars for whom paycheck is more valuable than morals. And unfortunately, many agree to turn a blind eye to the daily crimes russia commits against Ukrainians and take part of this horrific propaganda show.

Does taking part here truly align with your values? Is participating in an event organized by ruthless, cold-blooded murderers just to sportswash their reputation really worth it? How will you look into the eyes of the Ukrainians who play for your teams or cheer for you? I'm once again dissapointed...

We've seen this and know these unpredictable outages make it extremely difficult for teams to compete.
During the season, teams need to use the options available: rescheduling directly with opponents where possible, or using stand-ins if players are unavailable. We can't apply a blanket rule around forcing reschedules or demotion, as that wouldn't be enforceable consistently and fairly across ~3,000 teams across the globe. Every week players have power, internet, or other outages which would make scheduling impossible and increase the chances of players manipulating real world events to force reschedules to grief their opponents.
However, if your season is significantly affected, please reach out after it is over and we'll review individual cases and can discuss options for retaining group status with context rather than creating a rule we can't uphold at scale.
