By throwing vereran diplomat Olara Otunnu so late into the race for UN Sec-Gen, Uganda President surely isn’t expecting he will win. And him losing might be the objective. Otunnu’s profile has shot up dramatically from recent obscurity. Now M7 can say, “even in defeat, Otunnu has shown he has the potential to be a global leader. Let us give him late Moses Ali’s Deputy Prime Minister job”, which might be the real goal of this play. Some speculate they could use him to steal back the leadership of UPC from Jimmy Akena Obote, who has turned rebellious. It would be a fool’s errand, I think, but whatever the case, Otunnu will be perched on some high Ugandan political table after this saga.

Why burden journalists with the 5 Ws and 1 H? They've evolved beyond that. They should just give us Tom & Jerry for the whole day.
You the media of Uganda ! What has happened to you? Is it incompetence or what? What happened to our guidance of 5 Ws and 1 H? (Of What , Where, Why, When ,Who and How). Who has been holding Muwanga Kivumbi incommunicado ,under torture, for 20 days ? Where ?

This is exactly what is wrong with some of our leaders today. How does a whole Speaker of Parliament allow another adult to kneel down and put on her shoes? This is not leadership ,this is entitlement, arrogance, and a complete disregard for human dignity. Public office is not a throne. It is a responsibility to serve people with humility and respect. Turning fellow citizens into personal attendants for such acts is shameful and backward. Anita Among should know better. This kind of behavior sends a dangerous message ,that power means superiority over others. Ugandans must reject this culture. We cannot normalize leaders who elevate themselves while degrading others. Leadership is service, not dominance. Enough is enough.

Has D. Trump read this?
God’s heart is torn apart by wars, violence, injustice and lies. But our Father’s heart is not with the wicked, the arrogant, or the proud. God’s heart is with the little ones and the humble, and with them He builds up His Kingdom of love and peace day by day. Wherever there is love and service, God is there. #ApostolicJourney #Algeria

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today. I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby. It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC. May God bless America.

Modern Warfare: First, define the narrative and normative framework of the conflict. Second, engage within the very terms one has constructed.
Today, Congress was finally briefed on Trump's war of choice in Iran. Even behind closed doors, they couldn't get their story straight. But one thing is clear: they don't have a clue what the end game is, and it sure as hell isn't making America safer.
