This week, i-BreakFree, in collaboration with @_WBCG and other stakeholders, conducted a school campaign focused on Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) awareness reaching young people across the Epembe, Omundaungilo, and Oshikunde constituencies in the Ohangwena Region.
Between 21 and 24 September 2026, the three-day campaign reached learners at Epembe Combined School, Hifikepunye Pohamba Combined School and Oluwaya Secondary School, with a focus on bringing accurate, age-appropriate SRH information and digital health resources closer to young people.

Through interactive sessions, learners engaged on key issues affecting young people, including HIV prevention, teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections (STIs), gender-based violence (GBV), and available HIV and SRH prevention, treatment and support services.
A key component of the campaign was also introducing young people to the iBreakFree.org SRH Web Application, providing them with a convenient digital platform to access reliable SRH information beyond face-to-face engagements. Senior Peer Educators and Peer Educators supported learners in accessing and navigating the platform.

The campaign created a safe and interactive space for learners to ask questions, raise concerns, and receive accurate information on sexual and reproductive health. Learners requiring additional support were screened and referred to appropriate services offered by WBCG. These services included HIV testing, family planning, PrEP and PEP, as well as STI screening and treatment. Dignity packs were also distributed to learners as part of the campaign’s efforts to support menstrual health and dignity.
Across the three schools, the campaign reached 750 learners, combining face-to-face SRH education, peer-led engagement, digital access and the distribution of 150 dignity packs to help young people make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing.

Knowledge, access and open conversations were at the heart of our three-day school outreach campaign in the Omusati Region. 🩺📚
The outreach reached Oikokola Combined School, Holden Uulenga Combined School and Uukwandongo Combined School, engaging more than 900 learners with Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) education and services.
Knowledge is power, and when young people are equipped with the right information, they are better positioned to make informed choices about their health, wellbeing and future. 🩺📚✨
Yesterday, the iBreakFree Project kicked off Day 1 of its three-day School Outreach campaign in the Omusati Region, at the Oikokola Combined School in Etayi Constuency. Bringing Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) education, health services and important conversations directly to learners.
Learners were engaged in SRH education, STI screening and other health and wellness conversations, with those requiring further care referred to WBCG & nearby Health Facilities.
Today, the campaign continues in Otamanzi Constituency, Omusati Region, as we take our message to Holder Uulenga Combined School.
The initiative is being carried out through collaborative efforts with the Walvis Bay Corridor Group, Ministry of Health and Social Services, Omusati Regional Council, Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security and Ministry of Gender, Equality and Social Welfare, working together to bring essential information, services and support closer to learners and their communities.

Working alongside the @_WBCG , @MOHSSNamibia1, Omusati Regional Council, Ministry of Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security, and Ministry of Gender, Equality and Social Welfare, the outreach provided learners with access to health information and services covering HIV and STI prevention, PrEP and PEP, family planning, HIV testing, GBV, consent, their right to say no, Abstinence and Condom use.
Learners also received information on malaria, Tuberculosis (TB), HPV and Cervical Cancer, including the importance of HPV vaccination and screening.
As part of the outreach, 205 Dignity Packs containing essential menstrual hygiene and sanitation products were distributed to young girls in need, supporting their health, dignity and continued participation in school.

The outreach also created space for learners to ask questions, understand their rights and learn where to seek help when experiencing violence or facing challenges. Speakers encouraged learners to prioritise their education, practise good personal hygiene, respect themselves and others, and avoid alcohol and drugs.
This outreach is part of our ongoing work to ensure young people have access to the information, support and opportunities they need to make informed choices about their health, wellbeing and future. 💪🏾

Just like that, we’ve wrapped up the School Wellness & Community Outreach Campaign! 🩺✨
For the past four days, the campaign reached four schools across the Ohangwena Region, bringing essential health, wellness and Sexual & Reproductive Health (SRH) services closer to learners and surrounding communities.
Day 1 of the School Wellness & Community Outreach Campaign brought health and wellness services directly to the Oupili community. In Oshikunde Constituency🩺✨
Yesterday, 65 community members, teachers, came through for medical consultations and screenings, while 75 learners were reached during the afternoon school session.
Community members received general consultations, blood pressure, blood sugar and haemoglobin screenings, as well as HIV testing services, Sexual & Reproductive Health education, HIV/STI and GBV awareness, hygiene education and referrals.
