PRIDE is a feeling of satisfaction or self-respect about yourself, your achievements, or something you value. ARROGANCE is an exaggerated sense of superiority that makes you look down on or dismiss other people. What Cristiano Ronaldo of the past displayed was pride. What Cristiano Ronaldo of the present is displaying is arrogance. Know the difference.

Do you notice that when commentators talk about the Triple Lock, they only mention by how much the State Pension has "gone up". They never mention that it is STILL only £241 a week, which is the sole income that many pensioners have to live on.

The State Pension is the sole income for many pensioners. The system rules them out of additional help (eg pension credit). All those demanding the Triple Lock is ended...how would they like to live on £241 per week? The UK already has the lowest pension in the G7. Shameful.

I’ll tell you something: the people calling for the pension triple lock to be scrapped are rarely the people who’ll depend on the State Pension to pay their bills. It’s easy to call it unaffordable when you’ll never have to live on it. Scroats.

As a pensioner who relies on the state pension to survive I would like to keep the triple lock... The true test for any country that considers itself civilised is how it treats the elderly, the vulnerable and the young. Fund the NHS, scrap student debt, invest in young people.
