This is Ihor Malchevskyi, a 69-year-old scientist at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, escaping the flames after a Russian attack. I could also write, "the whole world watched this live," but we can see that news from Ukraine has long been out of focus. There are many reasons for this. It is not only people's "fatigue" from the war, but also the fact that social networks, particularly X, have started artificially suppressing the reach (pessimizing) of posts on military and political topics, especially regarding Russia's war against Ukraine. Furthermore, Russia has recently radically transformed its propaganda and information warfare. From straightforward propaganda, the Kremlin has moved to the large-scale use of generative artificial intelligence (AI) and agent networks. Their primary role today is to constantly blur the boundaries of truth as much as possible, create artificial information noise, and systematically carry out "mass reporting" so that automated safety algorithms block accounts preemptively or impose shadow bans. That is why it is so important to keep writing, reading, and sharing news about Ukraine. And that is why I sincerely thank everyone - journalists, politicians, OSINT researchers, bloggers, photographers, and volunteers - who continue to document Russia’s war crimes, conduct investigations and analysis, and report the truth. 📹: DW
A Russian drone hit the building of the National Science Academy of Ukraine in the center of Kyiv. There's a fire in the building. People are trapped inside and are trying to get out through windows. Russian attacks on Kyiv are relentless.

Amazing detail in this @wsj article about Kimberly Guilfoyle, US ambassador to Greece: she told a Greek minister, in a conversation about the collapse of the Romanian government,“We can do that to any country we want. We can do that here." wsj.com/articles/kimberly-gu…

All this demagoguery about “Russia is not my enemy” will end very quickly when Russia turns your home into a pile of rubble, turns the places you love into graveyards, and Putin, with his idiotic smirk and chuckling, starts rambling about what an incredible threat your “fake country” posed and how he was “forced” to wage a war of annihilation against you to “correct the mistakes of history” inside his head. They won’t ask whether you considered Russia an enemy or not. They won’t ask whether you wanted the war or not. They will call you a “Nazi” and commit the most insane war crimes with a profound sense of moral superiority and enjoyment.

AI detected everyone in the frame — except the person wearing this shirt. German artist and designer Simon Weckert created Digital Camouflage, a garment covered in an adversarial pattern engineered to confuse AI systems that use computer vision to detect people. In demonstrations using the open-source YOLO object-detection model, surrounding pedestrians are identified as “PERSON” while the wearer can go undetected. The project was documented at Berlin’s Kottbusser Tor, where AI-assisted video surveillance has become part of a wider debate over automated monitoring in public space. The pattern targets visual features that person-detection algorithms rely on, effectively turning clothing into an adversarial input for the machine. There is an important limitation: Weckert does not claim the shirt can defeat every surveillance system, facial-recognition technology, or Berlin’s specific government system. The experiment instead exposes how surprisingly vulnerable computer-vision models can be to carefully designed physical patterns. Digital Camouflage — Simon Weckert

There's no way for this not to sound rude, but y'all need to go read an actual poem by a human. This machine poem is awful, and it's embarrassing that you like it.
Fable: "write me a rhyming poem with six four line stanzas, each stanza removes another vowel. the first has no u, the second no u or i, etc."

Amazing: KPMG wrote a report describing the successful use of AI by businesses. But the case studies turned out to be AI hallucinations. giftarticle.ft.com/giftartic…
