Last time I was in London, I wanted to eat traditional British food.
Steak and kidney pie. Beef Wellington. Bangers and mash. Shepherd’s pie. A proper Sunday roast with Yorkshire pudding.
You know, the meals we read about or see in movies in America.
Sadly, most Brits didn’t even know where to send me.
They just kept telling me I needed to eat the Indian food because it’s “the best in the world.”
Everyone kept telling me to get chicken tikka masala.
I ended up hanging out in local pubs eating fish and chips because they were the only places I could find normal people eating actual British food.
Tucker is correct to question what Britain actually gained from WWII. The country today is almost unrecognizable from the Britain that went to war in 1939.
How did Britain benefit from WWII?
No one is buying the silly throwaway line, “at least we’re not speaking German” any more.
Large swathes of Britain no longer speak English. We have been invaded by the third world and the political class let them in.
