Durga is 1 of 5 baby elephants sent from Assam to TN temples, facing a lifetime of chains, captivity & loneliness. A BIG ELEPHANT TRADING RACKET? Not a single elephant came to Tamil Nadu in the last 5 years until now #Durga @CMOTamilnadu — PLEASE STOP THESE PURCHASES OF ELEPHANTS BY SO-CALLED NGO #PirapirkumEllaUyirkum #SaveDurga #SaveElephants #WhyTheChains #NoElephantsInTemples #StopElephantCaptivity

New business started by Assam govt. First reduce the sensitive zone of kaziranga and then trade the elephants to other states because they know reduced zone will leave elephants wandering.. what a shame !! @CMOfficeAssam @AmitShah @narendramodi #SaveElephants

The secret nexus is no longer secret. #Assam capturing wild elephants, calling them captive/ domesticated and then selling to any willing buyer in the country.. #AssamElephantsInDanger Tamilnadu regresses as a state by acquiring baby elephants for temples. @CMOTamilnadu

Meenakshi Amman herself wouldn't like her little creations to be kept confined in her own abode. Wish the temple authorities understand that this practice can be done away with for the sake of humanity. Amman's vehicle, the tiger; Aren't they using a wooden tiger to carry her? 💚

@CMOTamilnadu Why do we need elephants in temples and that too babies? They are herd animals and not meant for concrete and city life.

Let elephants remain free in their natural forests. 🐘💔 They should not be separated from their mothers, herds and families for human use. Assam’s elephants must be protected, not treated as property or commodities. @CMOfficeAssam @assamforest @CMOTamilnadu @tnforestdept @moefcc @PMOIndia @AwbiBallabhgarh

🐘💔 Wild animals are not temple property or objects for human use. Transfer of 5 elephants from Assam to Tamil Nadu raises serious questions about their welfare, transportation, custody and long-term use. Let wild elephants live freely in their natural forests. Do not separate calves from their mothers, or elephants from their herds and families, unless there is a lawful and genuine conservation or welfare necessity. Any alleged use of force, chaining, intimidation or cruel training to make elephants submissive must be independently investigated and stopped. @CMOfficeAssam @assamforest @CMOTamilnadu @tnforestdept @moefcc @PMOIndia @narendramodi @AwbiBallabhgarh @WildlifeSOS @HMOIndia A forest is their home. A family is their right. Elephants are not property. #SaveAssamElephants #LetThemLiveFree #SaveDurga #ElephantsAreNotProperty #StopAnimalCruelty #WildlifeProtection
