Engaging Big Update: the PLSD project has concluded and the International Lynch Syndrome Database (ILSD) is now established! 🎉
New info on database structure and upcoming studies will be announced soon — follow for updates. #LynchSyndrome#ILSD
🚨Call for Collaboration!🚨
We're launching a new study at the PLSD to analyze cancer risks in individuals with germline terminal deletion of EPCAM—characterizing the fifth Lynch syndrome.
Join us in leveraging the Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database for groundbreaking research!
If you have data on path_EPCAM carriers, please submit it in the PLSD format.
All contributions, including presymptomatic individuals, are essential for our findings.
Many congratulations to the Principal Investigator @mev_dv and her team at @Oslounivsykehus , who will coordinate a new 13.6- mEUR EU Cancer Mission grant, PREDI-Lynch, on heritable cancer, specifically Lynch Syndrome, with @Adductor and 27 partners from Europe!
Our last PLSD paper is out: Metachronous colorectal cancer risks after extended or segmental resection in MLH1, MSH2, and MSH6 Lynch syndrome: multicentre study from the Prospective Lynch Syndrome Database👇

🚨 Just out: the PLSD's biggest prospective study yet on Lynch syndrome & colorectal cancer (CRC) surgery.
What’s the real risk of a second CRC—and can surgery prevent it?
Spoiler: Prior CRC = higher risk. Extended surgery = game changer. 👇
