we care about writing quality because it’s what makes any story readable let alone enjoyable.
y’all don’t care? cool. but it absolutely has a place in amateur spaces. basic tips for punctuation, etc. ≠ writers being held to unrealistic standards.
lots of discourse about writing quality in fanfic, while i think the real question is why it would even matter in the first place. fanfiction is an amateur space for people to make up stories about the characters they love. why are you searching for the next booker prize here?
